Viewtech Introduces First Internet Home Water Usage Analysis
WaterVIEW™, the water utility
industry's first home water bill analysis on the World Wide Web, is now
available for demonstration at www.viewtechfinancialservices.com/waterview.htm
by Viewtech Financial Services (Viewtech). In the energy industry, Viewtech has received national
recognition for its HomeVIEW™ energy bill analysis, a similar Internet service
offered through electric and gas utilities.
Water utility
customers go to the utility's internet home page. Customers answer questions about their
lifestyle and home features, select a weather zone, and keystroke twelve (12)
months of billing data. As an option, Viewtech can maintain a database of
customer consumption so the customer only has to enter his/her account
number. Once the Internet survey is complete, customers receive a report
with up to fourteen (14) water uses with money-saving recommendations while
on-line. After reviewing the results, customers can change their survey
responses and consider "what if" scenarios. Reports can be
printed or saved as HTML files.
The primary
benefit to water utility customers is the ability to contact their utility
24-hours-a-day for money-saving recommendations on how to use water more
efficiently. Utilities gain a highly interactive "home page"
bill analysis service delivered at a fraction of the traditional customer
education program cost. In addition, the utility captures valuable
customer intelligence on the age and condition of customers' appliances and
systems. This information can be transformed into leads for rebate and
other programs.
