WaterFurnace Signs First
for
H.E.L.P. 2000 Loan
Program
WaterFurnace International,
Inc. of Ft. Wayne, IN is the first company to commit to a customized,
private-label financing program offered through H.E.L.P. 2000. WaterFurnace is
the largest U.S. manufacturer of residential geothermal heating and cooling
systems.
WaterFurnace dealers nationwide are now
offering the GeoSmart program which finances 100% of installed system costs
-- up to $25,000 for up to 15 years - at a competitive fixed interest rate.
Loans are assumable if the home is sold during the loan term, and the interest
paid may be tax deductible.
GeoSmart was custom-designed
and implemented through H.E.L.P. 2000 -- an alliance of Viewtech,
Environmental Financial Services (EFS) and Saxon Financial. H.E.L.P. 2000 is the
first Energy Star Financing Partner selected by the U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA). WaterFurnance is an EPA Energy Star Partner as
well.
Viewtech is the
exclusive provider of H.E.L.P. 2000 loan origination and servicing based on its
successful implementation of other utility-sponsored loan and rebate programs.
EFS brokers the program in addition to offering financing of energy conservation
equipment for commercial and industrial customers. Saxon Financial, which funds
H.E.L.P. 2000 loans, is an affiliate of Resource Mortgage Capital, a real estate
investment trust which has funded over $16 billion in mortgages loans since
1987.
The H.E.L.P. 2000 alliance is
negotiating with other utilities and manufacturers to launch similar programs
aimed at the residential HVAC replacement market.
